  : Location - was ideal, could walk everywhere. Bedrooms- 3 bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms -Having 2 bathrooms was useful. Bathroom towels provided. Kitchen - was large and had everything you would need. Good size dining table. Kitchen looks out on to courtyard which is nice. Living room was a good size.Property overall was a good size
  : Downstairs bathroom - has black mild around toilet and sink. This needs treating, not just painting over!Living room - needs more lamps (big light very bright) and a bigger TV (small in size for the room)Parking - whilst the property advertises parking in reality there is only 1 space and this is not a good size or easily accessible and car gets blocked in. I would suggest just parking at Broad Street, reasonable rates and very close by.

  : Keys werent available on arrival, fire safety was affected due to keys for the properties rear exit not being present on all our stay, which was important because there was 3 levels to the property which meant that exit was a fundamental requirement to our escape.

  : The location of the property is fantastic, on a quiet street which is a short walk from the shops and restaurants in Windermere. The property has great character and is very homely, but it needs some tlc.
  : We had quite a few issues during our stay. Although the towels and bedding were nice and fresh, the cleanliness throughout the property was not very good. The kitchen table, floor, and counters were grubby/sticky. Dirty cups in cupboard. We were staying with our infant son and, when reaching for a lost toy under the couch, discovered a pair of used knickers from a previous guest. The underside of the living room furniture has never seen a hoover. It was disgusting and would be a genuine concern for parents of young children due to the small objects, dust, and dirt underneath.The property clearly suffers from damp, which we could smell when we arrived. Putting the heating on helped a bit, but there is a large patch of black mould in the living room. There is also black mould in the downstairs bathroom.The boiler is inexplicably placed in a wardrobe in the upstairs double bedroom. It constantly fires throughout the night. It is loud and disrupted our sleep. Sleeping downstairs was not an option as we needed to be across the hall from our son. Regardless, this would be an issue for anyone staying in that room.The electrics in the kitchen are dodgy at best. The tv didn't work initially as the wires in the back were loose. My husband also received an electric shock from the switch on the cooker hood. It was sufficiently bad enough that we sought immediate medical advice and were referred to a hospital nearly an hour away. An entire day of our holiday was ruined. Sykes Cottages who manage the property were hopeless. When I spoke with Sykes I was treated as though I was exaggerating the situation. I was not. One agent refused to move us property until an electrician investigated, then another offered to move us, so it was a total contradiction. Given the short duration of our remaining stay and the time of my husbands discharge from hospital, we were too exhausted to face packing up and moving property.
