  : the location is really good.it is lucky for us that we could find a hair-dryer in the cottage because this item did't show in the list of house facilities.
  : it is so hard to open the key-safe. a neighbor came to help and his thumb-nail was broken because of force. the use of the heater was not clear for us and we spent a lot of time figuring out how to turn on it.

  : Fantastic location, right in the heart of Windermere!! Even though the Cottage is in the heart of the town its in a nice, quiet location... The both beds are extremely comfortable, lovely linen on the beds!! The Cottage was clean beautifully!! Cottage came with a parking permit for Zone A, which was nice!! Chippy right across the road, not even 10 steps and youre there, which is always nice when youre on holidays... Its only a 20 minute walk down to Bowness-on-Windermere. Its lovely walk down to the Lake... It was a very nice surprise when we arrived to see the cottage because it was refurbished. The photos that are currently displayed on Booking.com are old ones of the cottage. My only issue at the time of booking this cottage was that it did look very dated, but walking in and realising that it had new carpet and wall paper change the entire look. Like I said before it was a very nice surprise...
  : On arrival everything was amazing. It was clean and it was a very nice surprise with the new look, but that all quickly change when the power went out that exact night when we tried to start cooking dinner. We called up the property manager and within 30 minutes someone was out to help us turn the power back on, which was great but then the next day we were told to use one appliance at a time while in the kitchen. Sadly, this was a complete nuisance for us as we were there for 8 nights and the kitchen played a big part in our stay. We found it extremely hard and unpleasant using and turning on one appliance at a time for the whole time we were there.The power going out the first night was annoying, however I couldnt turn the fireplace on which was also really upsetting. We were shown the next day how to turn it on but even after that it took a good 10 minutes to start some nights.The last thing you want to do after you come home after a beautiful day out in The Lakes is waste 10 minutes trying to turn the fireplace on.My experience with the fireplace wasnt good, found it very hard at times to turn it on.A step by step instruction manual would have been very helpful in the beginning!!There was a leak in the kitchen. We had to remove all appliances from that area to stop any further issues. I did message the property manager about the situation as soon as it happened and no reply....Messaged property manager about helping us find the big bin, no reply. I eventually found a little piece of paper hidden away in a drawer with information about the bin...The light in the main bedroom wouldnt stop flickering.Also the sliding doors in the main bedroom were very difficult to slide...Bathroom door wouldnt close properly and the lock was extremely hard to actually lock. When you manage to lock the door its even harder to unlock. I actually cut/bruised the top of my thumb trying to unlock the door as I was locked in the bathroom...

  : I contacted a Booking.com advisor on 20 June, Horatio. He said that he would follow up my concerns and I have heard nothing since. I gave him a :-) because I mistakenly believed what he said about getting back to me.

  : Centrally located in Windermere.
  : Facilities were not as indicated on website. No books DVD's etc. Bed was not great with grubby looking pillows and mattress topper after bed was stripped. Parking was abysmal, basically a "free for all" as not enough permit parking spaces for the number of self-catering cottages in the street. Various safety concerns relating to lack of alarms, only two smoke alarms (one of which had a hole in it as it looked like it had been hit with a broom handle). One of the gas hobs wouldn't ignite but the gas was still coming out - no safety cut-off. A few lights didn't work. The cistern leaver came off in my hand and I had to re-attach it. No welcome folder giving any emergency information or contact details (the contact phone number I was given in my confirmation email was unobtainable) nor any copies of insurance or fire safety certificates for the property. The "garden" was a shale covered basic courtyard with one plastic table and two chairs.

  : Lovely little cottage in an excellent location for all amenities. It has obviously just been re-decorated with new carpeting throughout and so was spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed as an older couple with a grown up daughter.
  : No coat hooks for our outdoor clothing (a small thing but really needed!). Presume the tiny outdoor area is the next in line for a smarten up.

  : Didnt know that you had to provide bin bags and toilet rolls no problem as shops near by. DVD player wasnt able to connected to tv

  : The beds were not clean . Bedding all marked . We used are own an towels also the parking permit was out of date we were harassed by traffic warden every day . My mum an dad an i were sick of it an went home wed morning
