  : The breakfast the morning after our stay was lovely and so were the staff who were on. The view of the Abbey was lovely once the rain stopped
  : I wish we walked away after 10 minutes of being there. The lady who showed us the room seemed frazzled and uninterested when I raised concerns about the stairs to the room (they are spiral and no good to anyone who has any limitations when using stairs). I was advised they were full so I had no options of changing rooms. The room itself was compact sparse, two bedside tables, a dressing table, a tv on the wall and a double bed. The bathroom door had two had 2 dents in it which were badly repaired. One of the bedside tables was mucky with tea/coffee stains. The lamp on that table was sticky and had some residue on it which wasn't good considering it's a touch lamp. The lamp on the other table was rusty but clean. We decided to go for food but when it came to locking the door it became apparent that we were given the key to a different room and not ours. When we went downstairs I explained to the member of staff (male) we had been given the wrong key and my concerns about the room. He apologised and said he would speak to someone and then went to give me a key but I asked could he please go and lock the door to save me having to go up and down again which he agreed to do. When we came back he gave me the key and we went back up to the room. Nothing had changed and at this point I was too tired to go back down and complain again. When we went to bed there was marks on the bottom sheet so I put a towel on top of it so I could get some sleep. The stool for the dressing table was stained, damaged and had plastic were the cushion was attached. The aerial wire next to the bed had tape hanging off it, the skirting boards were covered in dust. The tv was powered by a hanging extention lead. If you are over 5ft8 you will need to duck near the entrance to the bathroom. I would recommend you give this place a wide berth and stay elsewhere. We were there to celebrate my birthday the next day and all I could think about was leaving and not letting it spoil it.

  : Location was wonderful for a one night stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a cracking night with the live band and other pub goers on the night of our stay - such a fun night! Breakfast was fabulous on a slight hangover
  : You do need to carry your bags up very narrow and steep stairs so just be aware if you have mobility issues. Parking is up around the bend - and only 15 minutes out front on first arrival to unload bags/check-in. Unfortunately, due to a range of factors, hubby didnt get the full parking instructions and we ended up with a 35 Pound fine.
