  : Staying in such an old house, which was only partially renovated, was a novel experience. The kitchen had some nice touches, but, dare I ask, for how long now has the door been broken? The bedroom was clean, and the bed itself has nice linen and is warm and comfortable. We did sleep well. The decorations throughout are very nice indeed and the USB ports and accessibility of the plug points was very well done. The bath towels are large, thick and soft.
  : We only intermittently had hot water!!!! Literally, the hot water lasted no more than 30 seconds and then it would go ice cold. The cottage has no shower and the bath is narrow and very difficult to get into and out of. That coupled with the terrible lack of hot water made it very, very unpleasant indeed. The stairs are old and narrow and really quite difficult and dangerous to negotiate, and as there is only one bathroom/toilet in the cottage and that's located upstairs, well, need I say more. The internet signal is weak and does not reach into the kitchen, which is the only room in the house with a table where we could use our laptops.

  : Location was lovely. Cottage was pretty. We ate out so only used kitchen for breakfast and drinks. Beds comfortable.
  : Very very little hot water. I had a 1 min shower with no hot water left for my husband. You would never be able to use the bath.The tiniest bit of loo roll left, probably left over from last user's- had to buy some. No cloths etc to wash dishes. Although we didn't use no garden furniture to eat, have a drink in back garden.

  : Well equipped and maintained kitchen. Lots of incidental items for our use, eg candles, tea, sugar, washing powder, dishwasher tablets, shampoo and shower gel.
  : Firstly we could not get in touch with the owners to answer some questions we had before our stay, the property description changed after we booked with the removal of a barbecue and the contact telephone number we were given in case of emergency was a German number. The bedroom and living room carpets were filthy with dogs urine and faeces. The curtains in the bedroom had big rips in them. The toilet seat didn't fit properly and the toilet didn't flush. There was nowhere to hang clothes in the main bedroom. The sofa was threadbare and ripped. The front was overgrown covering the windows, the back garden was strewn with convolvulus. The letter box was held together with string. The whole place was generally tatty and not what we expected for 860 for a 5 night stay.
