  : This was the ultimate bad experience Access was via an unlit back garden The room was large however the bathroom was mouldy, the room smelt musty and there was clearly a leak as the bedroom carpet was wet.There were no members of staff on dutyThere was no milk provided with the tea and coffeeIn the morning breakfast ( which was included) simply didnt happen We walked down at 8.30 with another couple to find the dining room empty and kitchen deserted despite ovens, fryers and hobs left on. A hot water tap was running over a sink full of dirty plates. Cooked bacon ( which had clearly been there some time) remained on top of the cooker. The kitchen can only be described as not fit for food prep.3An hour later things hadnt changed so for safety reasons we switched off the flames and hot water and left. To say we are disgusted is an understatement and we will be seeking a full refund

  : ShOwer didn't work, No milk for drinks and room could have done with a deep clean. Cobwebs on ceiling.

  : We did not stay. As no staff on site, yet states Thursday to Saturday its meet and greet. No restaurant. Yet states available Thursday to Saturday. The general apparrence outside not good, grass not cut. We found some where else. Owner did relpy to messages or phone calls

  : There was nothing to like
  : Restuarant not open not able to access any meals. I saw 2 staff there, both said the hotel was being sub let by the owners. When I arrived I couldn't get in the front entrance, rang a buzzer. After several minutes a voice told me to go to the back entrance. I went through a side gate on the right hand side. I was dismayed to see empty beer bottles lying around rubbish bins noy emptied and broken kitchen equipment pilled up. I went back round the front and found the beer garden, through a gate, walked through this. Glass very overgrown and not looked after. At the back door I wasn't but a man who instructed me to use a button keypad to get in and out and then handed me a piece of paper with entry code details, a d then told me my room number and I'd find the key in the door.I wasn't asked to sign in, was told that I may not get breakfast due to lack of staff. The housekeeper also told be that the pub was only open perhaps 3 days in the week. The place was not as advertised, and I left o Tuesday in discust. For food I was directed to a local pub,In the pub I was told by locals that the property had changed hands several times and some believed it was about to close.I feel that I was misold this trip, and Booking.com should refund my money. I also think if Booking .com are selling these hotel stays they have a responsibility to provide accurate up-to-date Information to customers.I await a responseSuzanne McRorySuzanne.mcrory66@gmail.com 07518 363986

  : It was closed and looked as if it had been for a while. Had to let ourselves in through unpainted, peeling back door. Not as described, no staff, no bar, no food, just served breakfast. Bed bugs.

  : Location was fine and comfortable bed, however pillows were not.
  : Bathroom poor and no breakfast available although already paid for ! No staff anywhere about in the morning. No milk in room so went to shop over the road for tea tray.

  : Bed was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Plenty of car parking space.
  : No welcome reception. You had to access the hotel via a back door using a code sent by email. We went to a nearby pub ( which was busy ) for a few drinks. When we returned to the hotel, about 8 O'clock it was in total darkness, except for a light inside over the front door. Very strange! We went back into the hotel through the back door again! We intended to have a pizza that was advertised online. We had nothing!

  : we stayed here 28th august and I have to say I am truly shocked by the entire stay. Firstly upon arrival, the whole place was shut , no lights on nothing , we had gone to the nearby pub the badger, whilst trying to phone yourselves several times. After a few hours we thought we would take the drive back to see if anything had changed , this time the door was open but no lights were on. Having travelled from Devon to arrive and find the place closer is appalling. We then were given our keys and that was the first and only time we ever saw a member of staff. Given that the Bistrot was closed and no food was being served that evening, we had gone back to the badger for food. Upon coming back to the hotel it was all locked up again and no lights were on, at this point in time all our belongings are in our room which we now had no way of entering. We again tried phoning several times with no answer. It was by pure chance that a lady had come around the corner who was also staying, who said there was a code on a bit of paper in her room to access a rear door, after we had walking around the back of the hotel into the pub garden with extremely poor lighting and collapsing walls , we found the door which the lady had the code for. We were not given this code and upon checking in our room there was no piece of paper either. Had it if not been fit the lady we would of had no way of being able to get to our belongings including our car keys. We were also not told about breakfast times. Upon leaving Saturday morning, again no lights on , no member of staff, we had no choice but to leave the room key on the bar, considering there is a departure time, to not have a member of staff is shocking. We even had to again use the back door to exit the building after departure time due to the front all being completely locked up and no lights on anywhere. The other lady who was staying was also not impressed.

  : We were messaged early on the day we were checking in that no one would be there when we arrived, and we were given a code to get in the door. It was dark with no lights around the building.
