  : The building itself and the gardens are absolutely amazing
  : The rooms are tired, there’s no air conditioning, the windows wouldn’t open in the first room I was given, the bathroom flooded when the free standing shower wouldn’t water wouldn’t drain - it was only on for less than a minute.

  : spacious room - good service overall from pleasant staff - very quiet room.
  : some light bulbs not working in room, so very dark - the room has seen better days in terms of wear and tear- chipped furniture for example. The shower was a wet room setup, but the drain was clearly blocked and the bathroom ended up being flooded. Windows were painted / rusted shut, so no fresh air, so a bit of a musty smell. Air con sort of worked. The service was good in the hotel overall, but the food was very basic and breakfast was bit of let down due to low quality of produce. At dinner I paid £30 for a steak, which was cooked OK, but it was very small steak. The wine list was a little over priced for what it was. The menu was a little limited too at dinner. We weren't unhappy as such, just expected more for what we paid.
