  : Room was clean and tidy, bed very comfortable. Shower warm and towel fluffy. Had breakfast on the second day and it was excellent. Staff very friendly. Small shop across the street useful for purchasing essentials.
  : An electric socket near the desk in the room would have been useful. And a bar of soap in the bathroom - not easy to wash you hands using a small bottle of body wash.

  : We have stayed there twice, once in Room 6 which was large and spacious with a king sized 4 posters bed, 3 seat sofa, shower room, toilet, tea and coffee facilities and a large wardrobe. On our second stay we were in Room2, straight across the landing. The room isn't as large and has a double bed but the other facilities were all of the same standard. We slept well on both occasions and although the Breakfast carries an additional cost of 7.50,p.p it was an excellent full cooked breakfast with teas/coffee and a selection of cereals. Very clean throughout and Terri, the Landlady, and her staff and locals made us all part of the community, Even our dog made friends with a local called Keg who even went across to the shop and bought her a bag of treat biscuits! There is a convivence store directly across the road and is open from 7am til 9.30pmand for those who don't drive there is a bus stop outside with a regular service. Free off street parking. Rooms 1,2 and 16 are situated in the main building with Rooms 3,4 and 5 situated in a separate building to one side which if you are looking for a quieter stay would be ideal, although we were not disturbed at all by any bar noise.
  : Unfortunately the Inn only provides a breakfast on site although they provide a selection of take away places locally and are happy even to order for you and it's then delivered and Terri or Staff will provide plates and cutlery if required. There are a few places you can travel to within a short distance if you wanted to eat out. Not a major issue, however, the main downstairs areas are not accessible between 11pm and 9.30am (earlier if your having an early breakfast). You can access outside via the outside stair fire escape which leads s=directly onto street level which is handy for a pet who might need out during the night. We used the Inn on both occasions as a base to visit Beamish Museum which is only a short car journey away.

  : Both rooms were spacious and in good order. Full english breakfast was great. The owners very accommodating. We would definitely book again.
  : Lack of advance notice of social event happening in the pub that night so we were prepared before our arrival i.e. Loud music with DJ
