  : The bed was comfortable and the bedding was nice and the view from the balcony was pleasant. The honey cake I ate also was delicious. A well balanced dessert with a great flavour profile very light and moorish. The fridge in the room was well stocked with free soft drinks.
  : Upon arrival I noticed the carpet was quite grubby with stains on. I did pay £300 for my room including breakfast so already not the standard you would expect, I’m also heavily pregnant and it was my birthday which I had notified the staff of and hoped they would consider my comfort for that reason. I had very few channels on the tv in my room literally cable channels, no smart tv access, no apps, and the staff were not helpful in the slightest and the staff offered me no resolution to help me with this. They did offer me a free round of drinks which again was thoughtless being as I cannot drink right now. It was very noisy until late and I could hear loud music from my room Which made it difficult for me to settle. The following morning I tried to run a bath and my bath plug was broken, they sent somebody in to get me a new one and the thread on it was broken so it had to be replaced. Something that should have been checked before I arrived. The breakfast wasn’t great. They didn’t include croissants which I had asked for and I didn’t get a full mug of coffee either the coffee wasn’t very hot either . The toast was also cold, and the portion size was small. My eggs Benedict was poor the eggs were very under and the hollandaise tasted of nothing but vinegar and saturated the whole dish. I’ve stayed at the Roslin and dined there multiple times and for multiple occasions but seeing how bad the standards have slipped after a poor Christmas meal I also had I will stay elsewhere and not give them any more chances.
