  : Close to the Yorkshire Dales. Looked like a lovely local pub with a good atmosphere.
  : Minor issues- The room had two very soft beds on wheels that moved around when you sat on them, there were cobwebs in the high beam in the room, the bedside wall lamps were missing their glass shades and the main light was also missing its shade. Major issue-But most importantly we had no hot water in our rooms, the boiler had broken the day before, which was not mentioned at check in, and was not fixed the next day. So we had no shower facilities . However we were still charged full price for our room!

  : It was near to the Embsay Steam Train Station where we were going to on the Sunday morning of our visit. We ate at the pub on Saturday night and the food was quite nice. We were given a free drink because we had no heating. My husband had a cold drink and I had a small cider which was the most they offered. The staff were really friendly and tried to cope with the heating issues and ran around trying to find heaters for the guests which were put in each guests rooms.
  : The room was okay but the boiler had broken down the day before and we were told that the plumber had supposed to have fixed it but the staff obviously didnt check it as all the rooms were freezing and we had no hot water either. The heater had to stay on all during the night and we couldnt sleep because it was an halogen heater which meant the room was very bright. We were unable to shower with no hot water and felt grubby on the Sunday as we could only have a quick wash in the sink with freezing cold water. The mattress on the bed was awful and must have been old as we felt every spring when we moved so we were unable to get to sleep at all. When I paid the bill after dinner on the Saturday night I told the lady that I wanted to leave a tip for the wait staff who had been lovely. She said that was very nice of me because of the heating situation, but I told her that I wanted to tip them as that was not their fault. Therefore I paid the 100 for the room plus what it had cost for dinner with the tip on top. If I had left paying for the room until the next morning, I would have been very reluctant to pay the full rate as it was one of the worst nights my husband and I had ever spent in a long time on a weekend break. I noticed that I wasnt offered a reduction for that.
