  : As the property was built in 1700 the shower over the bath was a tad temperamental with mixing the water.

  : The cottage was quirky, full of character and very cosy. The location is superb for exploring the lovely villages and attractions that are nearby like St Neot and Golitha falls, only a short drive to the coast and beautiful seaside villages such as Fowey and Polperro. Mike is a great host and on hand to help with any queries. Excellent games room.
  : The sound of shotgun fire from a field nearby that was used to scare off pheasants is quite unsettling and scared our dog. The bathroom is very small and could do with a shower screen.

  : Great location and stunning views. Plenty of character in the converted building. Everything you need for a weekend away or for a longer stay.
  : Inside was cold on arrival. Soon warmed up with a few electric heaters. Fuses tripped while trying to heat up. But easily resolved with handy information pack

  : Beautiful location, but unfortunately not brilliant for a winter break due to country lanes which were icy. Mike was very welcoming and did his best to make our stay as comfortable as possible
  : Unfortunately, the hot water boiler had broken down which was not ideal, so had to boil kettle for hot water for the first couple of days until it could be fixed. Mobile phone reception not great which made life awkward as we were trying to keep in touch with family regarding the wedding that we were attending nearby.

  : Location is excellent for seeing the Bodmin moor and both coasts. You can easily walk into the beautiful local village too. Accommodation is clean, comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. It's perfect for families, friends and for pooches!
  : Just be aware that long showers could mean the next person in has a cold one! It's a small detail though and it's part of the charm of staying in a old Smithy.
