  : The room was of a good size, we had a Kings Suite with Lounge.
  : The suite is in need of decoration and some stains on the carpet in the bedroom. The shower room was disappointing, nasty step leading in and out is a trip hazard, it does not have any warning or markings to the step edge, there was nowhere to hang bath robes and insufficient hanging rails for the towel. The walk in shower splashes out onto the floor making a slip hazard and the toilet cistern had a leak at cistern outlet pipe that also has a defective cover that has fallen down the pipe. Blinds in the shower room have been installed but old curtain track has been left. We only had dinner once in the restaurant as the menu, meal and service was not very good, slow was service. Our room was not serviced on one of the days and we were left to fetch tea, etc. Breakfast was again slow, 20+ mins for a cooked breakfast and it was not busy. Pub just up the road offered more choice, reasonable price and better service I am sad to say as I expected better from the hotel.

  : The hotel is nice and the breakfast was lovely , the location for where we needed to be was spot on
  : We have previously stayed here twice before but noticed the cleanliness slipping a bit this time .. there were cobwebs in the room and on the light fitting above the cooked breakfast trolley. Also we had a meal on Saturday night and one of her party sent her steak back to be re cooked and it came back the same and others had steaks that were full of gristle

  : Nice area, bed was ok, tea tray was nice & plenty to choose from including galaxy hot chocolate! Lovely chilled bottled water in the room, was a nice & quiet night until the cleaners started at the crack of dawn! But that can’t be helpedCan’t comment on food as I didn’t dine in the hotel
  : I didn’t like being left in the reception area waiting to be checked in because the lady decided to get a drink but and I quote “went for a walk around the building in the sunshine” I’m disabled and not one person asked if I needed help, I was given my key & that was that, no direction to my room & no offer of assistance The room smelt musty and like horrible bad breath, the rooms & bathroom are in need of updating

  : The cleanliness of bed linen and bathrooms.
  : Reception staff were rude and unwelcoming. The room decor and curtains were shabby. Some of the breakfast service staff were rude. We arrived for breakfast at 9am to no pastries (all gone, when I asked if there were more they said no. Ordered 2 poached eggs that never came. Very loud wedding music went on until 1am and then wedding guests were on the grounds below our window being extremely raucous until 3am!!!!! When leaving we were not asked anything about how our stay had been. So upsetting as this was a special weekend and it appeared that the hotel staff cared about nobody apart from wedding party guests!

  : It felt like a real treat. The room was lovely, Dawn on reception was lovely, dinner was lovely.
  : I kept getting lost getting from my room to reception, or the bar to reception, or even which stairs to use and then where to go. I’m not sure the internal signage was as effective as it could be, and was a bit surprised that I had to go outside to go in/out of another door to get where I wanted to go. Confusing
