: It wasn't as clean as it could have been (i.e. found broken glass on kitchen floor etc.)

: Location was excellent. Very quiet, easy walking access to good walks and to Fleet lagoon. Fabulous local pub. Great spot for exploring. Cottage and garden were great, HOWEVER there were major issues with cleanliness and heating, see below.
: Downstairs of property was infested with woodlice. Crunching these at night when moving around in the dark was very unpleasant! Very obvious damp issue in downstairs of property - black mould on wall by wardrobe in one of the bedrooms. Cleanliness was extremely poor - cobwebs, dust balls, dust on surfaces. This was obviously not a 1 off issue as had been identified several times before in visitor book. Also problem with heating and hot water not working properly. Sykes cottage representative visited and resolved heating/hot water issue, but no cleaning team were available, and instead we were offered monetary compensation.

: Beautifully quiet village location, a short walk to the coastal path. Central to lovely country walks and the sights we wanted to see. The up-side-down cottage was light, warm and comfortable, with a pretty cottage garden to sit in. A very well-equipped kitchen and clean modern bathrooms.
: Only having to leave! But perhaps instructions on controls for the hob and microwave would be helpful, plus a small washing up bowl, and coasters for glasses and hot mugs.
