  : Beautiful setting and wildlife in lovely garden. Red squirrels, pheasant and lots of birds feeding at breakfast to watch. Comfortable and very clean room. The breakfast room was a delightful setting and breakfast was satisfying and delicious.
  : ********Following Graham's response to me on my review, and after perfectly reasonable constructive criticism - prospective guests please consider reading the replies to other guests reviews who have also gave perfectly reasonable criticism, such as 26/07/22 Griffith, 07/06/21 Carol, 01/09/20 Grace, 16/10/19 Daniel, 12/08/21 James and 07/07/21 John. You can then decide whether this is somewhere you'd like to visit! It certainly is a beautiful place to stay with a lovely breakfast, spoilt by an overbearing controlling person. You have no right Graham to make any comment about the food that was eaten as I paid for that food and we were well within our rights to order it and not eat anything if we wanted to! As for my breakfast I ate everything throughout my stay that I ordered except half the haggis on the first day - so what you have written is untrue!!*******Not being able to put the heating in the room on when you needed to. We stayed in 3 other properties on our weeks stay in Scotland and the other 3 properties had radiators that could be self managed by customers. Because heating only came on twice a day at certain times of the day the room was a bit chilly even with the radiator set at full output manually. Mid September temperatures were around 12° day and 7° overnight.We were expecting some self service at breakfast as shown on website picture on booking, that would have enhanced experience.

  : The breakfast was whatever we asked for very satisfactory The host was welcoming and friendly.The gardens surrounding were delightful
  : I was disappointed that although close to town the road up was long and too steep for me as I have a hip awaiting its replacement so my husband had to drive up and down to the property Although I understand the reason it was disappointing we could not access the property between 11am and 3pm.

  : Well maintained and spotlessly clean. Modern facilities in 120 year old property. We were well looked after by Graeme and Susanne, who obviously take pride in what they do. Amazing garden and wildlife.
  : Elevated site a minor problem for 2 pensioners, but offset by view.

  : The breakfast was very well prepared and upto expectations. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The location was good with plenty of wild life to view. The property was well sign posted from the main road so was very easy to find.
