  : The owner was outside with the card machine as soon as she saw us arrive (I was still parking), which I thought was weird, but without even a pleasant greeting, proceeded to bark that we'd only booked the two double-bedroom suite for 2 people, and there were 4 of us.Now, I know when to admit my error, and having booked it over a year prior to staying (we're performers at the 1940s festivals), was only looking to book for myself and my singing partner.However, a few weeks ago we both chatted and thought it would be nice if we brought our husbands along to make a weekend of it, not realising that we'd have to pay more...it's a two bedroom annexe with double beds in each room...Anyway, she told us it was £200 for 4 people! And that if we wanted to stay, it'd be an extra hundred. Then, she began to tell us it wasn't even designed for 4 people, that it was really small and we'd have to climb over each other, that it was only really suitable for families with small children. Funny that, because it doesn't state this on the room description...We decided to take the hit, learn a valuable lesson, and drive home that night.However, the derision in her tone of voice and expression will not be forgotten. I would not have stayed there under any circumstances because of her disgraceful attitude.To add to this, her husband came out and insisted I look at his mobile phone at the booking confirmation. I could've been looking at anything, but as I said previously, I know when I've made an error.They spoke to me as if I'd tried to 'pull a fast one'. The room for 4 people is actually £175, so who's really trying to pull a fast one?We'd have been willing to pay for the extra breakfasts, obviously. We might even have paid for a reduced '4 person' rate if it'd been offered, and if she'd have been anything else but derogatory and patronising.

  : Very cosy, lovely cottage style bedroom.
  : Main door handle could do with a replacement possibly re silicone the shower but apart from that was really nice

  : It was clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.
  : The proprietor was very friendly with other guests and chatted with them but hardly had one word for us and was fairly abrupt.

  : The cooked breakfast was delicious and a perfect sized portion with beans in a pot on the side.The host was very friendly and the room was very clean and tidy. Lovely village for a stroll.Pub meal on the evening was very reasonably priced.
  : The room fragrancer was over powering but I should have said I have an allergy to perfume!

  : Room was a little on the small side.

  : Homely, lovely property with comfortable clean rooms which are nicely furnished .The quality of the meals in the restaurant was excellent.Breakfast was a ‘full English’ and was very good.
