  : Dirty. Stained sheets. Dirty fridge and microwave. No hot water. Bath water was yellow. Lots of squashed spiders. TV did not work.After 1 night we moved out and booked into a local hotel

  : Great size for multiple people, close to stores & restaurants, fairly quiet.
  : Property is old & needs lots of TLC. Microwave didnt work, no hot water in kitchen & no kitchen linens. Carpets & furniture old with stains & musty smelling. Bathroom needs a major overhaul, floor by tub has sever water damage. Mattresses should be replaced, very uncomfortable & linens are old & some stained. Overall the apartment is in need of renovations & deep cleaning.

  : Location was excellent. 10 minute walk to centre of Melrose, 5 minutes in the car to Tweedbank station, and Abbotsford, 10 minutes to the Scottish Tapestry in Galashiels.
  : Apartment very poorly maintained and cleaned. Cobwebs and mould, carpets need shampooing, worn out and stained bedding and sofas. 18 broken sash cords which means v few windows can be opened. Broken pane in the kitchen, windows v dirty on the outside. Bathroom door doesnt close, shower screen doesn't fit and leaks water onto the floor hence damp and mould. 2 light bulbs out in the sitting room. No blinds or curtains in the sitting room, and its not possible to close shutters. One of the sofas is broken. Tourist info for Melrose area would be useful. Instead a map of Hawick! Instructions for heating, TV, appliances would have been good. And the most annoying thing of all - no hairdryer, altho it was listed on Booking.com as being provided. Altogether a sorry tale of neglect and incompetence.

  : Great location and very peaceful , lovely spacious house with character , comfortable beds and clean linen and towels provided also well equipped kitchen and private garden
  : Found house unclean especially bathroom and windows ,cob webs everywhere, also couch very uncomfortable and worn and very small tv!! In desperate need of decoration and new furniture!!

  : This is a beautiful property. Very spacious and light. The views are incredible and the fenced garden is idyllic.
  : This property would have been a 10 had it had a little TLC. Bathroom definately needs upgraded. Carpets need a shampoo and cushions in sitting room need replaced as does some of the crockery and glasses in kitchen.

  : Dirty, un-loved, cold and damp when we arrived, bathroom decrepit, bathroom floor dangerous, furniture old and threadbare, mattress very badly worn, linen not ironed, mouse droppings in single mattress edge, cobwebs hanging, kitchen plates etc dirty, stuff left in drawers. Not a comfortable place to stay (Will send photos direct to owner)Only positive was a Christmas tree
