  : Location is great with walks all around.
  : The property has new owners and have lost the personal touch, intensely short of staff and rigid in customer service. They ran out of vegetarian options on the menu and we had a vegetarian who risked going without dinner till some forced interventions happened!

  : Just seemed a bit tired especially in the rooms/stairwells round windows etcStaff were young but seemed a bit as if sat back on their laurels so not unfriendly but not especially welcoming either. Nonchalant? Laxidasical? Hard to explain but clearly busy and seems like a steady stream of visitors so its like they dont need to try to hard.

  : Location, beautiful scenery and walking routes on door step. Good food , friendly helpful staff . Traditional coaching inn with character. Very dog friendly (although we didnt have a dog with us)

  : A wonderful location on the main road into Lynmouth with open land to walk our dog behind the church opposite (views to die for!). Great area for walkers on the edge of Exmoor and the Inn was comfortable and popular (full during our stay). Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant was busy during the evening which is always a good sign of quality and value. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay as did our dog Flora!
  : The only criticism I have with Booking.com is that when booking you aren't informed of the cost for your Pet, unlike breakfast when you can request that this be included in the quoted price. During the week we stayed in 3 locations, the first charged 15 for 2 nights, the Blue Ball charged 15 per night for our dog and the final property charged 6 per night. This is not the highest price we have paid as one hotel charged 35 per night (we haven't been back since!). I think it only fair that the pet cost should be known at the time of booking to give a precise cost comparison.
