  : It was convenient for the wedding venue which was the purpose of our trip. The staff were friendly even late at night and helpful.
  : We checked in at midnight, and were allocated a room on the ground floor which was in a bad state. The room was dark and dingy, and had a musty smell. While the bathroom and linen were clean, the carpet had heavy stains in multiple areas and the walls had loads of marks, the sofa upholstery was stained. In my opinion it was not acceptable that this room was able to be booked. I immediately went back to reception and asked to change rooms. Andrew was understanding and explained that the ground floor rooms were due for renovation, but all other rooms were already checked in to, as we were late to check in we had to have the room they usually avoid giving guests. He offered a partial refund and to move us the next day. I was very hesitant to sleep the night in the room but it being midnight after a 5 hour drive, reluctantly chose to stay put. The room we moved to the next day was a significant improvement, with a much more modern style, and better light. The room still had markings on the wall and on the sofa cushions but less noticeable.
