  : The location was superb. There is a patio area looking out over the river with a double seat and the bedroom window is at patio floor level with a similar aspect. There was a double bed, cooker, toaster, kettle, cutlery, crockery and fridge in the flat. Bedding and towels were provided and there was a wardrobe with drawers. The bed was comfortable and everything worked. The flat is a short walk (5 minutes) into the centre of Llangollen.
  : Finding the flat was more difficult than normal. It is approached from the path along the riverside rather than the road. We were met by the host who was extremely welcoming. The flat is a converted basement. The compromises of this are that the toilet has a macerator and there is a slight smell of damp. There are notices on the toilet explaining how the macerator works, how to use it but then warnings on the cost of repairing the macerator should you block it; this is clearly the result of bitter experience, but is somewhat overbearing. The weather was warm while we were there, so leaving a window open while in the property meant the hint of damp smell cleared quickly. The shower is a corner unit and is on the small side, as is the whole bathroom area. Similarly there is a small television. Some of the fittings were looking a little worn (e.g. scrapes on the bed).

  : Perhaps a bigger TV. But it was adequate for amount of time we watched it

  : Parking is always an issue when staying in Llangollen, but we know that from previous visits. Parking permit available so we had to park on nearby long stay carpark.
