  : The location of Wrenville is perfect for a number of climbs including Latrigg, Skiddaw, Blencathra and a short 20-25 min walk through the town takes you to Portinscale to access to the marina for watersports. This walk continues to the climb to Catbells. The inverted house layout was perfect for seeing the views of the surrounding hills in the morning. The house is also a great base to reach nearby places within about half an hour's drive such as Buttermere, Ambleside etc. Equally it is just a stone's throw from the town centre for access on foot to shops, cafes, restaurants and indoor activities.
  : The bedrooms face the road and the glazing is not suitable to block out the road traffic noise from Penrith Road which is reasonably busy. This did wake our daughters up early but they did get used to it eventually. It would be beneficial to have better sealed glazing and/or secondary glazing to reduce the noise.

  : The property itself was nice and the key pick up was efficient. When we reported one problem with the property, the shower door coming of its runners, the agent was round at the house responsively and speedily. However....please see below ..the holiday was about to be completely ruined....
  : The location was the problem. There was major road works happening right outside the property which were ridiculously noisy from 8am to 5.30pm every day. Thy agent knew about this and claims we were informed but has yet to produce the e mail which informs us of this. I have footage of the road works on my phone which I am happy to send to you as proof of how destructive it was to the enjoyment of the holiday. As they knew it was taking place, they should have made it 100% clear to us as bookers - we paid 442 for four days and nights there and the days were totally ruined. Nobody in their right mind would stay there during the work's undertaking and they must recognise that

  : The heated bathroom floor and open plan living room were great.
  : It would have been handy to have some washing powder for the washing machine as we had to buy some just for one wash.

  : Location, views, facilities were all great. Property as described. Fast Wi-Fi, comfortable beds.
  : Fire didnt work, squeaky floors downstairs, chipped glasses and plates.
