  : This is a lovely old fashioned b&b. The staff were really nice and friendly. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that..the room was small but neat and tidy. It did smell a bit musty but having the window opened helped. I don't want to sound like I'm complaining here I'm hoping my comments will help rather than upset anyone but the bathroom was a little grubby the shower tiles and door could do with a good spray with mould and mildew cleaner and the door doesnt close properly.also the sink taps have a build up of limescale and the skirtings where dusty and the toilet seat could do with changing as it is a bit worn and doesn't stay up, my husband found that quite frustrating haha! Also there was no bulb in the light above the sink.That's not to say it wasn't clean it's just a little bit more time and attention on the finer details would help the feel of the bathroom (sorry but I'm being honest) the rest of the place is a little dated but I found that really nice as it fitted with the b&b side of things. There is a nice garden area and even a small bar. All in all a nice place to stay.

  : Staff on duty as we arrived, Linda and Connie, could not have been more helpful. The owner/manageress was contacted by phone, as we arrived early, because our upgrade room was ready, we were able to check in. Surprisingly no paperwork to sign.We found the bed extremely comfortable.Loved the bedside lamp as also had usb ports x 2 if needed to use.
  : Initially shocked at amount of internal stairs, 7 carpeted ones between reception and our ground floor room. (Stairs undisclosed at time of booking). Unsure what "disabled facilities" apart from step up into shower and two hand rails & optional shower seat, not much else seen to be honest, even garden access involved steep steps down, so couldnt enjoy.Only one hanger seen in wardrobe.Remote control not very responsive, and everytime put controls down, as this one had no battery cover, one of the batteries kept falling out, frustrating.There was hope on arrival as the second door/side door avoided internal 7 steps, however door fully blocked this morning with 6 large full linen bags. So had to struggle up and down internal stairs with my stick, and later on checkout with our luggage.Breakfast not much cereal choices, orange juice only option, no fruit apart from spotty banana. Marmalade lemon and lime, coated with a fine white scum/spores on looking at the surface inside jar. I was worried as couple who left as we had arrived to breakfast, had enjoyed servings from same jar !!Breakfast, cold and disappointing, no offer of extra coffee, or extra toast. No checks at the time if we were ok? Seemed expensive for what it was.Also noted Fire Escape and procedure notices, normally seen inside bedroom by door, was not visable ? present. Our only fire escape, was blocked by bags.Sorry, but 4 star rating, dont think so.Very frustrating as asked questions via email pre-arrival, none were answered.Therefore, I had to telephone, Lady I spoke to on phone seemed lovely. Beautiful old house. Not at 4 * due to standards re decor and facilities.There is an honesty bar, but not much there.Parking ad hoc have to find own, no disabled bay/s. Property on hill.
