  : All staff were great and tried to do their best found us a pillow but no controllers. Room was very clean and great shower.
  : Room 6 was a nightmare, noise was horrendous until the bar shut, people singing whistling banging going to the toilets just by our door. Then people upstairs, every noise could be heard, room was not fit for purpose. No net curtains on window as room was on ground floor people passing could look in and see if you were half dressed or God forbid you forgot to close bathroom door!! Sink tap was not working properly so no hot water unless you used shower, also couldn't fill kettle as didn't fit under tap. No controllers for tv or sattelite box, no hairdryer as promised no bathrobes and short of a pillow.Meals were mixed, my husband's was good fish and chips, my pork and tagliatelle wasn't great undercooked and meat looked a bit like dog food.

  : Location was perfect, we were cycling and the bikes were locked up securely. Meals were good, breakfast a little chaotic, no menu, no choice, although when asked, more than happy to provide what we requested, it would be better to have a menu though. Rooms were a good size, comfy, plenty of hot water. Hosts were very friendly.
  : Toilet was not working fully in one room, TV off in another.

  : Very friendly staff. We booked a last-minute room at a discount price, as the trip was for work, and were happy with what we got. It was a ground-floor room with an "accessible" shower in the bathroom, which would be wonderful for anyone with mobility issues. We ate in the pub dining room and enjoyed a simple but very tasty meal.

  : We stayed in a double room on the top floor, the room was clean and comfortable, the bed was the most comfortable bed ever!! Everything you need for a short term stay was provided, i.e. tea/coffee facilities. Fan if needed, trouser press, clean towels, tv and toiletries.The breakfast was spot on, and evening meals were great couldnt fault it, fish and chips were to die for! The staff were helpful and friendly.We stayed here as it was an hour away from Edinburgh by train, we parked at tweed bank ( recommended by a staff member)a 15 minute drive away which had ample parking spaces and the trains ran every hour. Would definitely stay here again, the owners are doing a fab job, keep up the great work!
  : Couldnt get internet connection in room but didnt bother us, I know this may be important to some people.
