  : Breakfast was good, the team were lovely and very helpful. It was a good location for getting around the local area and there was parking on site. The large bed was very comfortable, the oven and hob worked well. We didn't use the communal washing machine but it was good to have it available. Shower was good if small. The room (apartment 23) is in a quiet location.
  : The bedroom needed a set of drawers as there was just a wardrobe (mostly taken up by spare bedding) and 2 very small bedside tables (with no lamps), it needed a mirror and somewhere to plug a hairdryer in (there was no where else to do that either) and no hairdryer at all or mirror near a plug. The kitchen is large but lacked basic supplies such as extra bin bags for the kitchen bin, no kitchen knives (we bought a cheap set and left them there), scissors, bottle opener, cork screw,,,,the cutlery and crockery are all mismatched and only 3 of most things (including mugs and teaspoons). The bathroom is small and there's absolutely no storage, no shelf, nowhere to put soap in the shower, the shower was good but cubicle is very small. The outside space by the apartment is a picnic table which is used by staff on their breaks to have a cigarette, ok if the kitchen window is shut.

  : Full English breakfast was excellent, Dinner was great value for money. Garden space by river was very relaxing (in good weather!). Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
  : No comfortable chairs in the room to relax in. Shower cubical was quite small and restrictive (for a larger person).

  : All staff happy, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Very good choice of excellent food. Very happy atmosphere, which matched the feeling we had about Fakenham in general.
  : The only drawback was that my wife, who has difficulty with stairs, had to negotiate two short flights as our room was on the first floor. However, we knew this would be the case before we confirmed our booking and the problem was far outweighed by all other aspects of our stay.

  : The position of the HOTEL was very good for journeys to other parts of Norfolk.
  : We had an apartment which was ok but we found it quite cold as the sun did not reach it . Booking.com made a mistake with our booking start date!! The Hotel owners kindly gave us a bedroom for the first night then we got the apartment.

  : Didn't make the bed and did not clean the room. My bill says breakfast included but the restaurant has been closed so I could not have breakfast.
