  : No wifi, no credit card facility, no tea/coffee, sub-standard bedding, less than neatly presented, furnishings old and worn, shower very small, premises are cramped!

  : It was central to Ely if you were a tourist. We used to live in Cambridgeshire so wanted a nice place to rest & preparing for attending a rather lavish reception at The Old Hall, Ely. I have a Blue Badge so was delighted that there was free parking on a Saturday night nearby. We were let in by a friendly Thai lady. The room had a mirror, a fan & tea & coffee making facilities.
  : The lady stood with us in a dark, dark wood hallway & asked for payment in cash immediately. I said no problem, could we see the room. It was the top floor, accessed by steep, crooked steps. Once in the dark room, she said its so hot, gesturing to the fan & said theres the shower & towels in there. I couldnt find another room within our budget in Ely & 100 is far too steep for this room. She said do you want your 5p change, who is going to say yes & make her go for it. So with a slam of the door she was gone. First thing that happened was my daughter screamed! There were 4 long blk head hairs in the shower tray. Laid out not in the corner. So no excuse for not seeing. Before I could get my camera, my daughter had put the shower on high & washe the shower clean. The shower mat was filthy & the over sink light didnt work. The towels were as rough as loofahs. One each. The mirror in the room was so dirty, we couldnt do our make up. I cleaned it with a sock! I then couldnt wear. It took 30 minutes to locate the light above the mirror. She should have known this & pointed it out. The kettle is impossible to fill in the sink. A bootle pester & 2 glasses or a jug would help. The window was open on to a kitchen & was do dirty and festooned with spider webs, that my daughter had to sleep next to the door. I had to close it there were so many spiders. The Venetian blind had lost its toggle & blinds dusty. Beds looked slept in & not necessarily changed so I slept on top of my bed. Window closed with noise fan. Hardly slept. I didnt tell my Daughter my concerns and hoped shed follow suit but no & as a consequence is covered in bed bug bites! Itching all day yesterday & today. There was stuff on the floor under both beds. We wished we were driving home but we paid immediately, under pressure & never saw the woman again. I will never, ever stay there again & furious that it was 100!

  : Quaint little house in heart of ely
  : The shared bathroom, and while the room was clean, there were some cobwebs around. Also make sure to lock the doors as if you leave them unlocked, they can be opened without a key.
