  : Location is good and bed was reasonably comfy.
  : Inside of building is tired and drab. Floorboards in hallways and bedroom creak and groan badly. Bedroom small and bland. Toilet very small and cubicle shower tiny with very poor quality shower and not much heat. Television tiny and mounted high up on wall. Power sockets in awkward places. Parking spaces a nightmare to use if you even have one careless driver in car parking area. Dining room not appealing and breakfast has poor choice and not cooked especially well. Eggs were a disaster !

  : 10 minutes on bus to Edinburgh Castle, bus stop right outside Hotel door. Room was okay with en suite, and clean. Staff were very welcoming and friendly.
  : Personally we thought £157 for one night was a little expensive but because it was a special trip, it was okay.

  : The staff were trying hard to run and make the best of the situationTowels being charged daily and plenty of them.
  : The hotel is clean and tidy but parts of it are very shabby. The shower room of our room had silicone sealer falling off and the shower only worked when the shower head was around waist height, so you had to bend to rinse your hair. The water was also either luke warm or blisteringly hot. The sink was a hand basin and it took approx 20 minutes for it empty. The towels were clean and looked new and were changed daily which was spot on.The pillows were well passed their best and offered no support but the bedding looked brand new and was fine.The breakfast was just about passable if you like cheap cereals, sausage and bacon but they do need to learn not to over cook the bacon and it needed to be warmer. The toast was only just done.The owners were friendly but a limited grasp of the English language did cause a few misunderstandings.It was obvious that some refurbishment had occurred, it just need to be completed.
