  : The staff were excellent couldnt be more helpful and accommodating even dropped us off into Dumfries. The food was amazing best steak I've ever had and the white chocolate and praline dessert was sensational.

  : I think if this place had been half the price Id have less to say but the previous night I stayed in somewhere that was 50 cheaper, was extremely luxurious, the room was twice the size the fitments very high quality with a very good restaurant and location and only 10 minutes away. Sadly this place should be fabulous, nice location nice old building but far too expensive. The furniture was very cheap and there was a bulb missing in one of the bedside lights, no remote control for the television and the bathroom was across the hall. I dont mind cheap and cheerful but this was cheap and expensive. Ive stayed in a lot of hotels. Breakfast too was below average and only had a 45 minute slot with check out at 10 am. Thats the first place, Ive ever stayed that has a 10 am checkout. In need of a makeover.
