  : Lovely country pub in the Leith Hill area, location is stunning! A rustic pub full of country charm, could of sat all day in there with the views and cosy feeling. The manager was welcoming and friendly, the majority of staff also friendly and helpful! Nice breakfast too. Ideal for a short break.
  : Whilst I appreciate old building have that rustic charm, the bedroom needed a good dusting as lots of dust around the room for example on top of the kettle and table lamps. The food was also hit and miss, my food was lovely, however, my partner's fish & chips was over cooked. Other than that the place was a lovely little charm.

  : Room very small and tired looking. Curtains hanging of rail. Wardrobe broken with the bottom falling out. Fan in bathroom blocked causing mildew on ceiling.

  : Always a shame to find somewhere clearly trading on its past results. The room, to put it bluntly, was not only tired, but dirty. Cobwebs, thick dust, dirty carpet. I don't think the bedhead or behind the the bed had been dusted for months - possibly years. The bedhead was so bad I cleaned it myself. The foot of the bed was thick with dust and there were cobwebs hanging off the curtains, which themselves were hanging limply from the curtain pole. Dim lights with more dust on the bulbs. It was just horrible. A tea tray sat on the table with some packets of tea, coffee and sugar dumped on one side. I didn't even want to look inside the mugs. The food (fish and chips with mushy pea slurry) was greasy and unpleasant. The condiments on the table were sticky to use. They also feel it proper to add a 2.65 'service charge' to the lime and soda I carried from the bar myself, and the meal itself. I only spotted this when I looked at the bill the following day. Not impressed. I was told breakfast was served from 8.00 am (!) but when I got downstairs the door was locked, so I missed breakfast. Actually, probably not a bad thing, but it made the 115 feel even more expensive than it already was for such a poor stay.

  : I had a comfortable room and the owners made me feel very welcome. I had dinner in the pub. It was really well cooked and good value. The added bonus was the owner's beautiful and very well behaved dog!
