  : The location is good for us as it is close to our family. We have stayed here several times. Breakfast is always good. Lots of variety.
  : This hotel is in desperate need of a refurb. Everything is very tired looking in the bedrooms. When we arrived the curtains were closed in our room. We soon realised the left curtain couldn’t be drawn back as the end hook was fixed. The only way we could allow daylight in was to unhook it which showed several hooks missing so the curtain hung down. It also meant standing on a chair to reach the curtain rail which wasn’t particularly safe to do therefore we left it like that which unfortunately then allowed the daylight to come streaming in first thing in the morning. An iron board is leaning against the wall, normally these things are tucked away in a cupboard. The room was stifling hot and though there was a fan it didn’t make a lot of difference. Time for air con perhaps? Obviously for safety reasons the windows don’t open very wide. There is a cost of £10 to park a car at the hotel yet there are signs stating we are not responsible for your vehicle whilst it is parked there. What is the £10 payment for then?!?!? Just a money maker obviously. Doesn’t seem to be much communication there. We booked and paid for breakfast when we arrived on the Saturday. We also asked at the bar when buying a drink if there was food available. We were told yes, we sat and browsed the menu and went to order. A different staff member then said 8 don’t think we are serving food as we have a private function and the staff are busy. I said we were told food available so she went off and came back saying they said ok it will be fine.Next morning we came down to breakfast and were told sorry you’re not on the breakfast list. I said we paid the day before. He said wait there and I’ll find out. He then came after a phone call and said ok yes you did.

  : Lift not working during our stay.It was out of order. It made it difficult for me trying to climb stairs due to my mobility problems.

  : Great location and the air conditioning was very powerful which was great as was hot weather. Hotel was very quiet.
  : They placed us in a disabled room which was odd and the carpets were filthy and the bathroom worn. Shower was a basic affair attached to the taps. I expected much more from what was a very expensive stay. I paid 174 just for the room the 10 extra just to park my car then another 22 just for breakfast. Room had a fridge but was tiny so could fit a bottle of wine or anything larger than 500ml. I wanted to check out an 90 mins later as being a Sunday morning they were not busy but they wanted to charge extra for that at 10 an hour. Suffice to say I felt ripped off by the whole experience and won’t be staying there again. I’ll be booking in at the premier inn across the road which was half the price.
