  : Very helpful staff who sorted a room for us to have a last minute meal together in one place before a family wedding, and again for both mornings to have breakfast all together. They also noted and fulfilled my request to have the lodges close together.Grounds are lovely, nice little swimming pool and the massage was wonderful.Full sized fridge freezer in the lodge was extremely useful and you can fit a two tier wedding cake in it. A good selection of food for breakfast. Grandchildren enjoyed seeing the rabbits on the driving range and the white squirrel near the lodge. A lovely quiet spot to unwind with the family. Plenty of space inside the lodge and the pull out sofa bed was bigger than the average and actually comfortable. Dishwasher tablets provided. Great to see all the different recycling bins at the lodges, Hopefully, when they have got through the mini plastic bottles they currently use they will switch to large refillable bottles in the bathrooms. Wide open area in reception area of the hotel with plenty of sofas to sit and enjoy a coffee.A huge thank you for upgrading the bride and groom at the hotel's discretion. They were blown away by the Kitchener suite. We also very much appreciated not being hassled to be out of the final lodge at dead on check out. For other travelers' information it is often possible to check in earlier and check out later for a nominal fee per hour.This is a lovely country hotel that could be totally amazing with a bit of TLC . But if they do upgrade, we probably couldn't afford to stay here.
  : The bar food menu is pricy for what you get, especially for the children's menu where the macaroni cheese turned out to be penne with melted cheese on top. No yoghurts available on our second morning, Not the fault of the hotel, but a power cut when tying to get ready for a wedding did cause hair dressing issues and problems for those trying to check in.Not dislikes, but a couple of observations:Water makes a horrible noise when using the shower in main bathroom. (Didn't report it as getting ready for a wedding but if you don't know it does it you can't fix it lodge 4)A bit of money spent improving the odd bits of slightly dodgy maintenance (like wonky floor by doors from side breakfast room to garden caused a spillage for us at breakfast) would take this lovely place into a higher hotel star rating.

  : Lovely location and historic building. Food was great and prices were reasonable.Pool , Tennis and Golf facilities were great.

  : The house and gardens were very picturesque. Lovely massage at the spa. The staff were friendly and helpful.
  : There was a wedding on at the time of stay, which we were informed about at time of booking, however when we were eating in the restaurant the door was left open, right next to the wedding where loud disco music was being played. Trying to have a nice meal whilst listening to club music wasn’t our idea of tranquil. Also on going to the bathroom, during dinner, the bins were over flowing with tissues, toilet roll holders and looked as if they hadn’t been changed all day! The food was pricey for your basic meals and left us feeling disappointed.
