  : The hotel is exactly what it says - a lovely thatched cottage.Location is great, very close to train station.Staff are friendly.Food was nice, well-prepared, delicious and fresh.
  : While I understand it is an old building with 'character', I don't like the fact that there is noise coming from absolutely everywhere. We could hear every word of a long phone conversation being held upstairs. We could hear so much talking from all directions. Also, our room was located right next to the front door and also right next to the cafe garden - nonstop noise again - doors slamming, people shouting, kids playing. This affected our sleep greatly.The room was not clean at all. Cobwebs everywhere, fan full of dust, stains on furniture. This made us feel a bit antsy when in bed and again affected our sleep.I admit I didn't notice it until alerted by staff, but I do think a 3 pm check-in time with an 11 am check-out time is ridiculous. I work in hospitality and when we extended check-in to 3 pm, we kept check-out at 12 pm.

  : Love the location of the hotel. we felt it needed a bit of TLC. however, it was very comfortable and very convenient for the restaurants etc

  : It is a gorgeous place and the tea room attached gives it that extra wow factor.
  : No reception and the tea room was busy so we had to call out to the person cleaning the room.The latch was up when we tried to get back in and we had to phone someone. We had to be let in by a resident that we woke.
