  : We had been before the previous year. Excellent location right in the beach. The hotel had just reopened and the refurbishment is very good, rooms upgraded, plenty of storage, large TV, bathroom and particularly the walk in shower excellent. The food was good and well presented by cheerful staff.
  : With the level of expenditure it was disappointing that an elevator had not been installed.The hotel had just reopened two days ahead of our visit so we expected some teething troubles. The restaurant did struggle with providing quick service, in view of the large number of inquisitive local visitors to the bar and restaurant and the full number of residents staying. The menu was therefore affected with reduced choice to later diners.

  : The finish on the hotel is excellent. The room was beautiful and comfortable. We loved the bath, big shower and toiletries.The bed was incredibly comfortable and the linen was very good quality.The view of the sea was lovely also.The breakfast was very tasty once we got it.
  : When we checked in, I was informed I still owed £400, despite me presenting my receipt from Booking.com saying I had paid in full.I am absolutely flabbergasted that after spending millions on their renovations they do not have a lift. I was also shocked that despite the high end price, there was no fridge in the room. I was given some fresh milk, which was nice but it was left out in a warm room, needless to say it was yogurt before long! When we checked in, we enquired about a table for dinner, we were told the restaurant was full, which is fair enough, however, we wanted to have a drink in the bar and we were treated like a nuisance and one of the young male bar staff was incredibly rude, saying ""we're busy, what do you expect?" Eventually, we were given a table for 30 mins to sit at with our drinks, which was perfectly acceptable.On the first morning at breakfast, we were left waiting for menus and hot drinks for at least 15 minutes, really not what I expect from such an expensive hotel. That evening, when we arrived for our dinner reservation, a very abrupt member of staff told us they were only serving hotel guests due to a kitchen issue. When we informed her that we were actually hotel guests, there was no apology, she just asked, again very rudely, "did you confirm your booking? We called everyone." I informed her We'd had no call, text or email. If we'd been informed about the seriously reduced menu, we would have probably have chosen to head into Brighton.The following morning at breakfast, it was similar to the previous morning - a long wait and when my breakfast came, there were parts missing and under cooked.The hotel was beautiful with a stunning view and a brilliant menu, unfortunately I checked out feeling I had been exploited and fleeced out of a lot of money.

  : Staff were excellent. Location was very attractive. Transport facilities were first rate. Possible to get to local towns and places of interest by frequent buses. Small problems were fixed right away by helpful staff.
  : There are no public rooms for hotel guests apart from bar and restaurant. The bedroom was very, very small. Bedroom was above kitchen and subject to food smells. Bedroom overlooked main road which was very busy at rush hours. No air conditioning so in warm weather noise from kitchen extraction fans and road noise was apparent. No instructions for coffee maker being kept in very small cupboard. Television/ wifi controls difficult and TV lost signal at 21.45 one night.
