  : Fuchsia cottage is located in a beautiful area in Boscastle.It has a terrace with stunning views of the countryside/ocean, everything you could possibly need to cook, or to play a game. Such a lovely location too for exploring the countryside and coastline. There are pros and cons you should consider before booking this cottage. Pros: -great location within miles from main local attractions /shops/ restaurants -has it's own garden/ terrace -decent size rooms -hot water and heating -Kitchen well stocked with crockery, cutlery & cooking utensils. -great caretaker that will promptly respond to any queries you might have - you will be welcomed with a local sourced bottle of wine and biscuits and a 10% discount voucher for the local cornish shops
  : Cons -it is a real challenge to find a parking space - overall, the cottage cleanliness is poor. Dog's hair all over the cottage which did not benefit my allergic/asthmatic child. The carpets are very old and smelly. There is a real need of deep cleaning all over. - mouldy/dirty curtains and cushions - there are no hooks for your loofahs or towel rails in the bathroom to hang out your towels, no coat hangers - many cooking pans/pots and crockery were not washed properly - the washing machine was not sanitized and was smelling very bad( luckily I had my own washing machine cleaning stuff with me) - the rotary airer had mostly all of its wires broken( the caretaker promptly changed it upon my request) - the bedroom wardrobes and drawers were all dusty, full of dog's hair. The wardrobes/ beds and chest of drawers need changing as very old, smelly and squeaky - the coasters and the dining table were all stained and sticky - the doors are not closing properly and are very squeaky - there are big gaps between the wooden planks in the bathroom - wardrobes/chest of drawers's space not enough for a family of four - the cottage suffers from an extensive damp problem which is evident from the strong smell as soon as you walk through the door

  : Very limited parking, had to park on the main road most of the stay.

  : Cosy warm cottage with distant sea views. Well equipped and clean. Good pub very close.
  : Parking is very difficult. Shower is tricky to adjust. Mirror needed in second bedroom. 20 minute walk back to cottage up steep hill from village centre.

  : the double mattress could do with being replaced no tin opener but I gifted one whilst there !
