  : Location 10 minute walk to the front.
  : From the minute we arrived, phoning to get in, Customer Service not the best, been told only booked one room but proof shown we paid for 2 rooms. but still needed to check, made to feel uncomfortable as other guests were waiting to check in.Rooms very basic No wifi, Tv did not work. bathroom window did not close, carpet had mucky marks, felt greasy & bits on. Asked for teabags on our bed time return as none in room, but was quizzed n told us we should have had them.Luckily, the beds n towels were clean, so we used both rooms as a base only for sleeping as we had a 2 year old with us. it was the best of a bad situation.Morning check out no one was about, so I had to leave keys on the desk along with others already left.Luckily, it was only one night.

  : Despite booking room via booking.com when we arrived after long drive. No room available. The hotel did get us another room next door in another hotel but not ideal !!

  : Absolutely nothing this hotel seems to be now owned by new owners the ratings fabulous is not the rating off now thats for sure .
  : In arrival we the welcoming was like nothing Ive seen before . I felt like i was walking into someones living area and was in the way . I booked a double room to be told i was in a room with bunk beds came as i surprise I explained i had booked a double room but the response of shrugged shoulders was not welcomed by myself.As i walked in the room with avengers wallpaper i 1st thought it was joke but then to be told no other room we had no choice.We left and went for tea .On arriving back at 9pm we opened the door to a smell that was beyond words all the way through the house. The rooms and the place was dirty. We soon noticed we was actually in a joining room when lads came home in the room next door . We left at 3.30am

  : Augusta and Ken were very friendly and accommodating to our needs, especially as they were new to the business having started at The Derwent 1 month ago. Having the front door key so we could arrive home late was useful. There was a lounge we could use as a shared space and outdoor chairs in the front. You could park outside the hotel to unload bags, then we parked further away from the coast for free in the residential streets. The addition of a bedside lamp in the triple room could have been useful, also a hook on the back of the shower door would have helped us to hang up towels. Overall a very pleasant stay, good value for money.
