  : Great character and charm. Beautiful guest house. Close walking dis to town.
  : The only suggestion would be to have brighter lighting in the rooms. The mood lights were beautiful but for my adult eyes it was a little difficult to see some details.

Disappointing

  : Period house which looks lovely on the outside. Beds were comfortable with clean crisp cotton sheets, towels were soft and fairly nice toiletries. Nice carpet in the bedrooms and plenty of space in family room with the inter connecting rooms. No disturbance of Sounds from other guests. Rooms and property were clean inside.
  : No one present to greet us on arrival. Light in the porch switched off so entrance dark and gloomy. Lighting throughout was gloomy. Bedroom overhead lighting blindingly bright whereas bedside lights far too dim neither made for comfortable lighting. Really odd mix of decor, very mismatched furniture, soft furnishing in the bedrooms and some very cheap and tacky items such as the bins and wardrobes. Made it feel as if items have been found here and there without any thought to the overall design, comfort, practicality or the history of the house and city. Basement room meant view of a brick wall and being at the front of the house was noisy from passing traffic and also damp smell with patches of mould starting on curtains, ceilings and bathroom grouting. Bathroom felt miserable and cold due to tiles used on the floor combined with an inadequate towel rail which could not heat the space. Breakfast was odd to say the least. Again tacky/cheap looking floor tiles and odd choice of canvas above the fireplace spoil a period property with no nod to the history of the building. Instead of using the period feature it was hidden away behind tables. Essentially guests sit and are served by the chef who is terrifying. Sadly despite having a chef to cook breakfast to order, the cheap products from budget supermarkets made the breakfast disappointing . If this had been half the price I would have expected this. However for this price the quality and service were simply not there. This is a very basic b&b and the owners could do with staying in some other b&bs to get an idea of how they could make their place a more enjoyable, welcoming, quality experience for guests. One night was more than enough. The coffee however was nice at breakfast
