  : We had a lovely stay at Last Yan. Very comfortable, clean, central, a great location and base to visit the Lake District. Highly recommended

  : Very central location. Close to shops, restaurants and bus transport. Washing up liquid, cloth and sponge supplied. Good selection of kitchen utensils and cutting knives. Good bed linen. Nice wardrobe.
  : No shelf in bathroom for my creams and makeup. No bin either. We knew there was no parking at the property, but using the suggested carparks nearby was a gamble for free spaces! Only one bedside lamp. Please note there is no view of mountains from flat.

  : Good central location, larger inside than it looked, very quiet considering location.
  : Parking was as described in a review, had to park at lake road carpark and paid for 3 day pass but it was said this could be used on other car parks using the mobile app but this wasn't the case. Had to pay separately for other sites that use the same company.

  : We stayed four nights at Last Yan cottage. This is our third time in Ambleside (our favourite town in England) and we usually stay elsewhere. However this was a last-minute trip and Last Yan was the only place available. We are so glad it was available - it exceeded expectations. Check in instructions were very clear. The location is superb - very centre of Ambleside but on a quiet street away from the bustle. Three minutes' walk to the bus station! The cottage is all on one level and much roomier than we expected. Living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are all large. Kitchen has everything you need for a short stay and to prepare meals. Plenty of hot water for showers and there is a bath too. This really is a very cosy, relaxing and peaceful place to stay.
  : As other reviews have noted, there is a smell of damp on arriving at the cottage, but after five minutes you don't notice it. Honestly, it didn't bother us during our stay.

  : Very comfy bed. Close to.shops restaurants etc
  : Very high sided bath, would have benefited with hand rail to assist getting out of shower. Most other properties at this price range I have stayed at have a dish washer.

  : Fantastic location in a quiet area of the town. Spacious quaint cottage with excellent facilities as described. Good quality furnishings and linen. Excellent wifi.
  : The very strong musty smell was quite overpowering when entering the cottage. Water pressure of the shower was poor. Just a bit of extra cleaning under the sofa cushions would make the cleanliness score perfect ( dropped my phone in between the two cushions and discovered lots of crumbs, etc).
