  : Nothing as it wasnt open when we arrived and a member of staff walked past my wife at the entrance without acknowledging her. We left soon after.

  : The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was the best continental we have had. The poached eggs were perfect from the little machine and also there was ample sourdough bread from the sister bakery in town Angels. Staff were friendly and helpful.
  : It was just a little impersonal, not a fault of the hotel, it is just not quite what we enjoy, which is why we book holiday cottages normally. This stay more than fulfilled our requirements for passing through Abergavenny. The staff were friendly and organised bag storage in their sister hotel The Angel, after we had checked out.

  : check in very easy and pleasant staff. Car park space found next to the hotel. Room very comfortable and spacious and toiletries were lovely. Breakfast was also great - continental but with large selection of items.
  : nothing although if we had arrived later it could have been a problem to find parking

  : Excellent service from the highly competent and pleasant staff/ manager. Great decor - traditional with a contemporary twist, tasteful yet comfortable. Bar is a lovely place to sit and there is an excellent selection of gin and tonics. The breakfast is delicious. The hotel is relatively small and doesn't feel at all corporate or bog standard.
  : It didn't matter for us but in the summer you would miss having outside space. The hotel is right on the road - although it is worth stressing that there was no problem with traffic noise from inside.
