  : A fantastic budget hotel in the perfect location for the big tourist sites. My room was plain, clean, with a small bathroom with good water pressure and water that quickly becomes hot. The breakfast buffet was the best breakfast provided in a hotel I had anywhere in Turkey! So delicious and fresh. And on their beautiful rooftop terrace with views to the sea and the blue mosque. Great value for money.
  : The stairs are quite precarious and narrow, and no banisters. Fine for me, but would not suit someone with mobility issues. You need to be able to carry your own bag up these stairs.

  : We stayed there during our city trip to Istanbul in September 2023. The hotel is as per the description in booking.com a small family run hotel in the old part of Istanbul. What we liked was that the Sultanahmet area (Hipprodrome, Blue Mosque, etc.) were only a few minutes walk away from the hotel. And from the tram station Sultanahmet all mayor sites of the city can be easily reached by public transport. We received the room in the top floor (which means you have to go up all the stairs - as mentioned in other comment there are no lifts- but for us that was not a problem. And as benefit we had the lovely terrace with the fantastic view over Istanbul basically next to our room ;-). Hint: for reaching the modern part of Istanbul take the tram T1 from Sultanahmet to Istanbul University and then M2 metro to Sishane or Taksim.
  : There was nothing we really did not like. But watch out: contrary to what the pictures might make you assume, the breakfast is not served at the roof top terrace but in the cafe in the basement at street level. Nonetheless the terrace is available to all guests at all time, e.g. we enjoyed some wine we have bought and brought up at the terrace enjoying the lovely panorama in the evening. Also be aware that reaching the hotel by car or taxi is a tricky undertaking due to the many one-way roads - and a great opportunity for the Istanbul taxi drivers to increase the metered taxi bill by taking some additional detours. Keep an eye on the route the taxi takes by using a navigation app.

  : Friendly staff, incredible view from the breakfast patio area. Lovely breakfast with fresh pressed pomegranate juice. I stayed in room 16- I appreciated having a private bathroom, a view of the blue mosque if I tipped my head out the window, and the full use of the patio which was across the hall from my room. Excellent location, I walked everywhere except Galata tower!
  : I reserved a sea view room but didnt get one, when I asked they showed me an option with a sea view but it didnt have a private bathroom. It ended up being fine- I ended up loving my room. Lots of stairs! Pipes are a bit noisy.

  : Staff is very welcoming, nice, reactive and helpful. Location is great, nearby the touristic sites (blue mosque etc). Neighbourhood is quiet (more at night). Breakfast is great and varied. Terrace view is amazing.
  : No major issues, but: Most staff don't speak English (we used Google Translate). No elevator (I was on the third floor - I believe it's the last one before the terrace - unsure whether there are more floors on the other side). If you are planning on sleeping late and you have a light sleep: the room I stayed in has a wood door that is not well sounded and I could easily hear what is happening in the corridors/stairs etc. I believe the same goes for the other rooms.
