Merkež Guest House is quietly set on a family-run farm in Brezovica 2 km from the centre of Bizeljsko. It offers a playground a restaurant and a wine cellar set in underground caves. : The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. The whole house was elegantly fit out and very well kept .
: Where do you begin .I hate complaining but when your paying for something its not only your right to expect to receive whats advertised but its the duty of the provider to deliver whats advertised .So where do we begin .No TV in room .We probably could have lived with out a tv if the wifi worked in our room or we could have had some food instead .The owner tried to blame booking.com for not changing the advertising . I couldnt see where there had ever been a TV.No restaurant or food available .We just rode 200 kms to find out theres no food and we had to go down the road .Apparently the owner said we should have checked to see before arriving .The owner made out like it was our fault for not asking if the restaurant would be open thou it was clearly advertised as being available .Most other accommodation in our experience contacts the customer and advises as to any changes . Not falsely advertises something then attempts to blame the customer .I noticed when rereading some reviews that a French guest complained about the same thing back in August 2019 . So its not just a first time this has happened .WIFI wasnt available thru out .Wifi in the room was terrible it worked in one minute bursts and then logged off . We told the owner but it just fell on deaf ears and she made out again like it normally worked .Which I dont believe for one minute .So we had to sit outside to use it in a common area ,which isnt always so pleasant .No safety box .Not that we needed it BUT it wasnt there .No minibar .In my experience minibar usually means , beer, wine ,water , chocolates , juice or something edible or to drink .An empty fridge isnt a minibar .Soundproofing really ,thats a joke .Im not sure what their definition of sound proofing was but it was anything other than sound proof .The dogs and roosters were coming thru loud and clear from 7 am on.We could hear voices from reception day and night .
