  : We were extremely happy and satisfied with Quinta Velha Apartamentos. We travelled there as we have family that live close by and they were closer than anticipated. The apartment is very high quality, it comes with a very broad range of facilities from the obvious fridge, cooker, microwave, air conditioning but bonuses like washing machines, coffee machines, wifi, TV, etc. The apartment is complete with all crocerky & utensils you may need. It is a 5-10 minute walk from the closest grocery store. While the Spar in Cabanas is a bit expensive, it served to do us for the first night and then we travelled to Continente and Aldi to buy the larger groceries. The fridge is very big however there is only a small freezer compartment so if you wanted to eat in most days, you would only fit 2-3 dinners max for example but we ate out or in with our family. It is in an ideal location, quiet yet 5-10 minute walk to everything, the beach, shops, our family, the train, pharmacy, bus stop. The balcony is amazing, it has a table to seat 4 with a counter top with the washing machine underneath and a tap on the counter top. I was initially concerned about the air conditioning but it works amazingly. We brought a HDMI cable so we could use the wifi and our own laptop to watch whatever we wanted. The property is quite secure with a doorman during the day and then a pincode necessary 24/7 to enter the building and then of course, keys for your apartment. There is an elevator and stairs. There is a restaurant directly behind the apartments. To the left when leaving the apartments (or right when arriving) is the swimming pool which is slightly displaced and you may question if you're in the correct pool but it is correct, they will ask your apartment number to confirm and there is a bar there also, it is slightly displaced so no need to second-guess yourself. There is also parking.
  : The only issues we encountered is some loud neighbours when they would be out on their balconies with a lot of people or playing music but out of the 5 days we were there, we only heard it twice but never needed intervention because it would end before bedtime. The pool is slightly displaced and although we got verbal instruction of its' location, it still was slightly questionable to find as there are no clear signage and also we were not informed that the pool had a closing time which really restricted our usage of the pool because we would be out most of the day and want a dip before bed but the gates would be locked. That is the only negative thing I have to say about our stay is that we didn't know what hours it was open and such really restricted our usage of it. It also should have more obvious signage or written direction as to where it is. They provide 1 pillow each for the bed and 1 extra so I would recommend providing 2 pillows each (4x in total) on the bed. We also only got 1 supply of towels so we had to sort of ratione how many for each day, which ones for the beach, which ones for the bidet. We understand the bed is not a major luxurious bed however we did find is slightly harder than expected. All of that being said, you get amazing value for money, security, perks and like I said in my positives, we will always use Apartamenos Quinta Velha from now on when we visit Portugal and our family so we hope that we will be loyal customers in a few years time.
