  : The place is great, very well equipped, nicely decorated and in the heart of a stunning region
  : The host ask to send a bank transfert to confirm the booking which I did right away but a few days before our arrival the host did the procedure on Booking to cancel claiming she didn't receive our money. It was very stressful and I thought I lost 500 for a bit. We came to an agreement and we were able to stay there but the host kept insisting she didn't receive our money, saying it arrived to her bank but was refund to us, even asking for a cash payement, we had to call our bank back in Belgium 3 times and eventually worried for nothing because she confirmed the money did arrive to her account well in the end. I don't think the host was dishonest but bank transfer account to account isn't a great system, it would be nice to accept credit card.

  : The building is in a very quiet area with beautiful landscape. Nicely decorated and a very friendly host. Sea can be seen from the upper level above the trees and the electricity cable. Mountains can be viewed from the upper bathroom window
  : What we had was an apartment over 2 levels with ca. 20 steps between the levels- difficult for people or animals with handicaps and not mentioned in the description. No sunshade available on terrace or balcony although even in October it was quite hot already in the morning. The beach can be accessed ivia steep steps n a few minutes, but is very small (would be full with 10 people), and esp. at low tide it is quite difficult to get into the water- the bay is covered with medium size round rocks. We did. Not use this beach at all.

  : Superb location with beautiful little beach so close. Apartment much bigger then expected. Warmth of our host. Her willingness to let us leave later.

  : The location of the property is something special. Peaceful, surrounded by nature and with amazing views. Although we didn't get a chance to meet in person, the owner was responsive and welcoming.
  : The kitchen facilities and utensils were quite basic and some things would benefit from an upgrade (e.g. the wooden chopping board was cracked, the utensils were old and felt cheap). I appreciate we were paying for the privileged location but just a few small changes to the quality of some of the items in the apartment would make a big difference.

  : What a unique and incredibly beautiful location! Situated at the end of the quiet road, the second florr apartment gave us views of the mountain, ocean and easy access to a private beach. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, if not particularly modern. The apartment is walking distance from other beaches and really superb restaurants, O Farol can be highly recommended. The area has few houses and is wonderfully peaceful at night. Rita, our host, responded to my every question in a fast and friendly manner. We definitely want to return.
  : We experienced problems with the geyser and had almost no hot running water. Rita immediately responded and tried to help but the water remained cold. Also the downtairs bathroom had very little water pressure. This was the only issue we had in an otherwise wonderful stay. The technician was called and we are sure Rita will have it fixed for the next guests. The kitchen is a little dated, it has many appliances but there was no small sharp cutting knife or cutting board. I do also wish the host would supply at least one round of coffee capsules if they offer a capsule or pad machine, as not every traveler brings these with them or even finds the correct ones.

  : Better beds, too soft and uneven, net on windows for mosquitos must be instaled because their is no clima and the windows must be open to get some air in. The lower bedroom is hot, with no aircondition. On teras more comfortable chairs could be plased

  : The area (Arrabida) is nice. No discussion. However, those who know well both the Mediterranean and the Celtic seas might have a feeling of dej-vu in a dull version. For a short stay or a long WE it could be a good pick though. The apartment is clean and nicely decorated and close to a pretty, small beach.
  : First of all, the APARTMENT, as its definitely not a house as it is part of an apartment complex. But before you arrive, go to a supermarket, and buy everything: there is not even salt, or sugar provided. Unfortunately, this apartment it doesnt have any necessary equipment for a week stay (in very short: no kettle, no strainer, not kitchenware for more than one day, plus the dishwasher didnt work). And worst of all, although the apartment is located in a very hot region of Portugal, we didnt even have a ventilator available. We contacted the owner who wouldnt provide one and she answered us that its not part of the services provided (as if it was a luxury in an apartment of 220/night) / its not my fault if there is a heat wave in Portugal (!!!). We didnt know we had to bring our own fan along from France. In addition to this, the neighbors dog was barking every morning from 7 a.m. so it was impossible to sleep for two nights in a row. We didnt enjoy the burning nights and days as we had nothing else to do but swimming in a 15C sea. Spending that much money and being treated as if we were asking something extraordinary made us shorten our stay (we stayed 3 nights out of 7) and escape this nightmare. Big shame!
