  : First, the hosts were very accommodating arranging for us to be met at the property despite our arrival late in the evening. Communication ahead of time was very clear and easy. The appartment has the instant "Wow!" factor. The unassuming door on a quiet old town street entres to a traditional appartment building. Our apartment took up the third floor. Perhaps so many stairs is not for everyone - but then again it's Lisbon, where any route is full of steep hils and steps, so one gets used to it quickly. And it is worth it! The spacious living / dining room manages to be airy and cosy at the same time. The views from its windows are stunning. The bedroom is very comfortable and the balcony/roof terrace is large with views across Lisbon and even to the Parliament, between the roofs. On top of that, the aprartment is well equiped with all the cooking and laundry facilities needed for a longer stay. But above all the location is fabulous - in a real neighbourhood with great resaurants, bakeries, cafes and small squares an easy walk from major sights. We are looking forward to returning!
