  : Good location close to Volterra with very nice typical Tuscany views. Clean, well equipped and maintained property, comfortable and quiet. Guests are invited to pick up fruits for themselves from the many trees (figs, apples,pears, plums etc). Beautiful pool kept clean at all times.
  : No contact with the host, not even for welcome and goodbye. All communication was via WhatsApp, which was efficient but not personal enough. Minimal contact with reception only at check in.

  : The amazing view from the apartment and the pool. The location is very calm. You can hear the birds and wildlife. Contrary to some comments, we found the wifi to be very good but the 4G connection less so. We appreciated the mosquito nets at the windows and the mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. Sheets and towels were beautifully crisp. The apartment was very clean.
  : The gas stove for heating water and food is impractical when temperatures are 36 plus as it makes the temperature in the apartment even higher. We would have preferred an induction stove and an electric kettle and microwave. Gas is an energy its probably best to abandon! We had the panoramic apartment with a lovely terrace (great for morning yoga!) but it was explained to us that it was not possible to have a parasol since being high up, occasional gusts of wind mean that several parasols have already been lost. This makes it impossible to eat lunch on the terrace as its too hot (its fine for breakfast and dinner though). Some of the parasols around the pool are also in need of repair.Our shower only had a curtain not a door. This was not very practical. As others have pointed out, there is no air con in the apartments, only fans. This was not especially a problem for us as we are opposed to the over use of air con on ecological grounds, but it means you have to be ready for sultry nights. Being on the top floor, this apartment is not optimally insulated. Finally, a hairdryer would have been nice. There is an iron and ironing board in the shared laundry.

  : Nothing, except the fact that the pool was not clean and ready to use, especially for our 2 children. It was end of April and probably our host considered that most customers do not use the pool at that period. Our expectations were not met only on this topic.The flat was simple, but clean and ok.

  : The views from the terrace were fabulous! The washing facilities were very welcome in the second week of our holiday.
  : The kitchen area had very poor lighting and no electric sockets for the (provided) toaster and coffee maker.

  : No taxi would collect or drop us off! we were attending a wedding in Ulignano and had to stay in alternative accommodation that night as we couldnt get back to Borgo Gatteraia.

  : Rocco was very kind and helpful. Near the house is hiking trail to very beautiful city Volterra. Very nice view to mountains all around.
  : The apartment wasn't really cozy. More lights are needed. Need more kitchen equipment.
