  : unfortunately, the property is mainly disco RESTAURANT with lot of private PARTYING. I would not recommend stay at the hotel, you will not sleep any single minute. till 12PM music is so loud, after that cleaning after party till 3AM, at 7AM grass cutting with old engine machine. if you dont mind the noise and partying, the place is amazing, with view of the sea, looks like old castle, very nice place. the manager and owner nice people. the breakfast is good and some dishes in the restaurant was fine.

  : An exceptional property with lovely spacious rooms, tastefully furnished (and with many offering four-posters). The campaign-style day beds in the family room and the escritoire were unexpected luxuries. The owners were friendly but discreet. Salvatore and Simone were our main hosts. They hit exactly the right note. The entire site was kept immaculate by a hard working house team. Food options were limited (if you were dining more than 3 nights) but of a very good standard, reasonably priced and proudly local. The pool was clean and there was no shortage of recliners (or shades) but it is purely for leisure which is the point! We stayed a week and could easily have stayed longer, and will revisit. On this trip, we were a couple and a 13yo in a (large) family suite. Ideal match: but older/more kids may make for a more military approach to getting bathroom operations executed to time. Breakfast is too-tempting pastry and cake tray with eggs and ham/bacon/frankfurters to order. We didnt make it for lunch but if we came back hungry from our tours, the kitchen was always happy to fix something to hit the spot. Villa Della Porta (the storica dimora simply means historic building) is an unexpected treasure in the corsair coast that is Amalfi. It is a little off the beaten track but (in peak season) only 60 mins from Amalfi, 45 to Positano and 25 to Sorento or Pompeii or NAP and 40 to Naples. You will need a car: just remember, uou are not Italian, and the ecperience will be misersble.
  : We stayed a week, so non functioning tvs and limited-dining can be a bore. But it wont stop us coming back.
