Disappointing

  : The coffee was good and the bed was comfortable.
  : I was really disappointed. I was in room 3 with a terrace and it was so noisy that I got no sleep at all. All the rooms open into a communal hallway where the coffee is and there is absolutely no soundproofing. That meant that my first night I was kept awake late by people slamming doors, and I mean slamming, and then woken at 6:15 every morning by someone doing the same. The noise would then go on all morning. They also had workmen in there one day so there was drilling outside the room for a whole day. During this someone knocked on my door and then unlocked and barged into the room without waiting. I think it was the cleaner but I dont know for sure and she wasn't wearing a mask. The terrace is right in front of a massive industrial aircon unit that is on from 8am to midnight every day and sounds like a jet engine. You can hear it even with the doors closed and sitting out there is not relaxing. It's also the same terrace as the shared area, with some plants dividing them, so not really private and not that secure. Then there's the shower which is so small that my elbows hit the sides (which are those accordion thinhs and were broken) when I was washing my hair. There's no way a man would fit in there and don't even think about trying to shave legs, you can't bend down. The water pressure is also a trickle and there is very little hot water so by the time I had rinsed the shampoo out of my hair the hot water was gone. The floor of the room was dirty, my feet were black from walking on it, and the towels smelled of mildew. The location is not great either. Yes it's in the old town and there are a few restaurants but it's not the pedestrian part and the door opens onto a road, so walking around is actually quite dangerous with the traffic.

  : Location and closeness to Via Duomo. Taranto is a fascinating place and very authentic.
  : Not much.....any comments would be churlish eg Coffee capsules or small tv. Enjoyed my 2 days!

  : We liked everything about Al Molo Sant'Eligio. Serena was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The apartment was clean; a good shower with plenty of hot water; thoughtful little extras. We always looked forward to seeing what treats we were left for breakfast. For us the location was perfect - close to train station and bus depot, in the old town but an easy walk to the new town. Very good restaurants right there. We had a lovely stay here.

  : Room was clean. Staff were very helpful and responded to questions quickly. Information was communicated via WhatsApp.
  : Balcony was filthy and dragged dirt into the room if used. Location was not good for enjoying the centre of Taranto (off eastern end of island). Unlike other Italian towns, this part of old town is primarily residential and did not feel safe at night. Few restaurants locally, and they were rarely open. Sea view...not really. Could only pay in cash.
