  : The place had an old world charm to it and I got a room to myself. There was an elevator. Good location 5 mins to train station and 30 mins walk to the centre.
  : First they wanted to put me in a room with two older men. in a corner with no space for luggage and less than a meter from the bed next to me. I said this was totally unsuitable so they offered me a double room with an ensuite which was fine but too expensive and had no WiFi or elevator. They then offered me a nice room 3 bed dorm with no one else there. BUT! the kitchen had 3 plates, one frying pan with no handle, a pot and a square plastic bowl. There was no hot water in the kitchen. The bathroom plumbing was blocked so everytime the water was used it would come back up through a hole in the floor. The place was filthy. the cupboards were either empty of had rubbish stuffed in them and all were dirty. One of the permanent guests stayed up all night smoking in the common room. Two days later the wifi stopped working. It was never fixed 'because it was Sunday'.

  : Just a good nights sleep. Late check in and straight out. Close to Rome's main train station...
  : Mixed dorm likely to be in an entirely different building a few blocks away. Can be confusing.
