  : The room was a very good size with excellent facilities. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Superb location.
  : It was rather hard to find. Dinner at the rooftop terrace restaurant was disappointing, as was breakfast.

  : Breakfast is served on a little terrace overlooking the lake which is lovely. Breakfast was simple but great.a nice feel to the hotel, we enjoyed it. Our room was small so staying several nights and storing cases could be an issue.

  : An idyllic spot with welcoming staff, spotless rooms, and a balcony overlooking the square. Loved the elevator access to street level, and perfect proximity to the restaurants we wanted to explore.
  : There was no easy free parking, which was fine for us and is pre-warned on their website.

  : The breakfast location was lovely but the breakfast was limited
  : The rooms were tiny and cramped . There was no air conditioning - the hotel mentioned in small print but I had not seen that . We slept in sweltering heat so had to open the windows and the noise was terrible - people outside - restaurant clearing up - fireworks late then early morning deliveries with crates being dragged over the cobbles . E had little or no sleep . We were booked for two nights but checked into another hotel for the second night - best decision we made . Would never recommend to stay there

  : A hotel in the centre of the village. Excellent breakfast but needed warm clothing as restaurant is on the roof and early morning in late September is not so warm! Same applied to the excellent evening meal in the roof restaurant. (Note the times in the internet are wrong - the restaurant opens at 19.30, not 19.00).
  : Although we were warned that we must park on the edge of the village and that it was a 10 minute walk (with luggage) to the hotel, we had a problem finding the hotel as the name 'Locanda di Orta' is not highlighted nor written in large letters by the entrance. Instead the names 'JRE' and 'Andrea Moressi' are highlighted. As a consequence, we walked up and down the centre for a further 10 minutes, total 20 minutes, always with our luggage. Exhausting!

  : Very central, very clean and very good breakfast.staff were very nice and helpful.
  : Room was a bit too small, no wardrobe. Had to live out of the suitcase, and no mirror in the room..
