  : The hotel ambience, history, style etc. The reception and the head waiter were both very friendly and welcoming.
  : The bathroom....would have preferred a shower in addition to the jacuzzi bath.

  : A great location with a stunning view over the hills. Amazing food, fine dining with great staff. The pool is very clean and the place overall is great if you are looking for a relaxing experience.
  : Its not that I didnt like, its more like we were not prepared properly. The location its quite remote with no other options to visit the city except taxi. And this is about 100, one way to Pisa for ex.

  : Breakfast was ok and the staff atthe reception were really nice, pool is nice and the castle is pretty.
  : If you are coming here don't take the suite because you wil be getting a large, damp and empty space on the groud flour for more money instead take the smaller room to get a real feel of the castle upstairs.

  : - it's an adults only hotel so a huge plus here - the staff is really nice and accommodating - we didn't like our first room at all and we got upgraded to another one after some conversations - room 14 is a whole floor on the highest level of the tower, it's super spacious and has absolutely stunning views
  : The hotel's page is promising more than they are providing. There are no bathrobes, no coffeemaker, and no tea set in the room. The furniture feels cheap. It's not a 4 stars place. It's interesting though, it's a rare opportunity to sleep at the castle. I'd say not worth it if you're not staying in the room 14, it has the best views and price-to-value ratio. The "deluxe" suites are disappointing and have a "rugged and unfinished" vibe, and also no views at all. The pool is on the smaller side but without the kids in there, it's enough. Edit: At first I gave the hotel a fair rating of 7 given all of the above. I'd even say I tried to be nice. After the baffling and rude response from the owner, I'm changing it to 1. No one should ever stay in a place that so deeply doesn't respect another human being. I gave a rating of 7 to the "deluxe suite" which I booked and is listed next to my review. It's still very generous in my opinion. I assumed all the "deluxe suites" looked like that because that's what the manager told me when I went to ask him if he's sure we got the right room. I appreciate the upgrade. But that's not what I'm rating here. The coffee machine that we got after complaining was all dirty. It's not a standard feature clearly, because the other room also didn't have the coffee machine. All the other amenities were missing and that's a fact, no matter how insulting the owner is trying to be in response. The wardrobe and dresser were cheap plywood, already bent and not working smoothly. The "sophisticated decoration" in the room was a tacky poster of Minnie Mouse with a fake Louis Vuitton border. The first room we got had mold all over the bathroom and live wires sticking out of the ceiling and walls. No light fixtures in any room, just some movable lamps placed on the floor, that weren't working at all in the first room.
