  : I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Actor Hotel on [23rd Sep 2023 - 24th Sep 2023]. I anticipated a comfortable and pleasant stay; however, my experience was marred by several distressing issues that were not addressed adequately.Upon my arrival, I observed the staff engaged in what appeared to be a celebration, involving alcohol. This made me feel intrusive and somewhat unwelcome. Despite this, the staff was amiable when escorting me to my room, which was unfortunately located close to the front desk, raising concerns about potential noise disturbances, a concern I regrettably did not voice immediately.The initial discomfort was exacerbated when I was offered a beer, under the assumption it was complimentary, only to be informed of an 8 Euro charge and an additional unexpected 1.5 Euro tax. I felt manipulated into purchasing three beers for 15 Euros to avoid this unfamiliar tax, experiencing a sense of coerced consumption.However, the most distressing issue arose when I retrieved a blanket from the wardrobe. Initially, my stay in the room was comfortable, and I experienced no health issues. However, after using the blanket, which released an excessive amount of dust, I started to cough severely. The air quality in the room deteriorated significantly, and I suspect it was contaminated with particulates from the blanket. This left me in a state of extreme discomfort and unrest.In desperate need of assistance, I found no staff available, and my attempts to seek help at the front desk were met with silence. Left with no alternative, I had to endure the night in a polluted environment, leading to a sleepless and distressing night.I reported this incident to the Booking platforms customer service, and they assured a response within 24 hours. The following morning, my grievances were conveyed to a male staff member.

Initially, he offered a refund of 110 Euros but later reneged on this offer, insisting the platform would handle the compensation. I felt deceived and was eventually expelled from the hotel, feeling utterly disrespected.

  : This is a family run small hotel, rooms are older but good quality with lots of character. Large bed, and icy cold air con. Our host was extremely helpful and gracious. Husband needed a cuppa after the travels, no kettle in the room, so he went and asked, came back with a tray with everything he needed. Situated up the hill from the man on a horse statue roundabout, a easy stroll into old and new town.

  : The Hotel is in the centre of town and it is easy to get everywhere.Staff very helpful and accomadating.Nothing was any trouble and they answered all our questions and requests.

  : Hotel just 10 minutes walk to all attraction of Genoa, room was big and clean. Hotel is in safe location. My wife and me left hotel very satisfied. Hotel owner Rafael helped us to park our car without any charges, he is very kind and helpful. I really really recommend Actor hotel who visit Genoa, next time I will book without any hesitation. Thank you Rafael....
