  : traditional apartment with great street & sky view. plenty of room and a neat bathroom. the bed was really comfy. paintings and furnishing were lovely and fitted the historic nature of the building. hosts Paola & Franco were really lovely people who made us feel welcome and like family in their home. the food provided for dinner and breakfast was exceptional, homemade marmalade, bread, cakes, croisssants, pastas, etc. Paola is a superb chef with first rate customer service ethic & warm welcoming approach.
  : everything was great. guests need to remember these medieval stone buildings dont have lifts so be prepared to negotiate stairs to get luggage into your room.

  : Its easy to park free outside the city walls and then walk to this central location. Cortona is lovely and Dolce Maria is authentic and great value
  : We are in our mid 60s and managed the stairs fine but this will not be the case for all

  : Very central, convenient parking. Up a steep hill and then several flights of stairs to reach our room, but thats just hilltop Cortona. It was a rainy Monday night when we stayed so great to be able to eat a yummy dinner in the restaurant downstairs. Delicious homemade jams for breakfast in the morning (thank you for the orange marmellata recipe tips!!)
  : No view from room, but very close to everything in town.

  : The location is excellent if you arent driving a car and if you have only light baggage. The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable.
  : Parking is nearly impossible. My room was up sixty stone steps, and my suitcase weighed nearly fifty pounds because I am staying in the area for three weeks and this was my first stop. While the restaurant downstairs was open it was very noisy. When the restaurant closed, neighbors in attached buildings were very noisy. The hot water in the shower ran out after less than five minutes. Although it is indicated no smoking, it smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke.

  : We wanted to stay inside the old city and Dolce Maria is just a block from the main Piazza in Cortona. It met our needs very well.
