  : AC in every room, Big couch in the living room, close to the city centre And bus station. Kitchen was fully equipped, two bathrooms. The Host was very nice.
  : We had to manage the AC in the living room manually, we have never done this before so we flooded the floor.

  : We travelled as a big group (6 adults, 2 children) and the apartment was more than big enough. Great to have two bathrooms :) The location is very central, with free parking on the street. The host welcomed us at arrival, explained everything in detail and upon request, brought us a pancake pan the next morning! great stay, definitely would book again :)

  : The location. Near to the city centre and the fish market. it was a good starting point in exploring the island.
  : It needs to be refurbished. Has 2 bathrooms but the water pressure wasnt strong enough to use both in the same time. The door of the second bedroom needs to be fixed to close properly. In general its not as in the pictures showed in the site. We were 2 families and one of us left and booked a hotel/

  : I found the apartment, barring the interior furnishings, to be very nice. The high vaulted ceilings, small floral reliefs, the large entrance gate and interesting layout as well as the building as a whole had a real old-world charm. However, the other elements such as the furniture and light fixtures felt too contemporary for my tastes. Smoking is also allowed, although for this, I suggest you stick to the indoor patio. There are two toilets, two showers, three bedrooms (two with king-sized beds and one with a king-sized as well as two smaller single beds), a large communal living room, a kitchen and dining space as well as a small patio with a glass roof. The apartment is located more or less in the centre of Catania, which is great for people who are more spontaneous and would rather not have to deal with the hectic traffic. 13's immediate vicinity is rife with activities: exiting the building to the left, one finds a quaint jazz club next-door, going further, there are restaurants, bars, a fort, all of which can be reached in under 2 minutes by foot. To the right, a market and even more restaurants, historical sights, parks, shops as well as the entrance to the city centre. Parking is free only on the street on which the building is located. It is also very difficult to find a free space unless you arrive very early in the morning. Our host, Silvio, was very welcoming. He took great care to explain the quirks of the apartment to us, gave us pointers on how to explore the city, even drew a map for us to use so we could get the most out of our experience. Any time a problem came up, Silvio was on it and typically arrived at the apartment immediately to help us sort it out. The host was also accommodating on a personal level, showing us where the LGBTQ+ friendly places were in the city. Although none of the people staying in the apartment were LGBTQ+, I still felt that this showed a great deal of integrity.
  : We visited Sicily in February. Although outside temperatures reached into the mid 20s, the apartment was still very cold as the building is too old to have central heating. Silvio said we can use two AC units and a gas-powered heater to warm it up, which did work, albeit slowly and not very well. Everything to do with heating was rather finicky, even the water. We had warm water most of the time, but some people from our group claimed that it was unreliable if more than one shower was running or if multiple people showered consecutively. Electricity was also a problem. As the building is so old, every appliance in the apartment uses the same breaker, so running the AC units and the hair dryer would frequently trip the breaker. Regarding the parking... It is free, but rather hard to get. You can park most days, but this requires luck, courage and creativity. There are no parking attendants or anything, so just ignore anyone trying to give you help. With that being said, I actually really enjoyed these quirks and I feel the apartment is well worth the asking price, especially if travelling as a group. We'll probably make the trip again, but in the warmer months.

  : Very spacious for 7 people. The airco was really nice in the heatwave. Standard equipment like water heater, toaster, cutlery, washer with soap, ... the area was nice too, close to the fishmarket and also close to the bus that takes you to the beach. Silvio was very nice and informed us on a lot of things. We have two smokers among us who could smoke in the entrance (kind of a greenhouse). We rented a car and managed to park it close by for free every time.
  : Silvio forgot to mention that we needed to empty the bottles from the airco so the kitchen flooded. (We come from a country where airco is not standard, maybe he thought we knew because it's so standard there ;) ). The upper bedroom has no door (livable with good communication). The glasses were not really clean upon arrival.
