  : First of all, this hotel has a very good spa complex. Saunas are powered by Starpool and look very inspiring and fresh. You will find a steam sauna with a very thick fog, hot and dry finnish sauna and a bit boring mediterranean saua with nice aroma. Spa features several types of showers, ice bucket and salt relaxation room. The main pool with thermal water features many fun contraptions like waterfalls and hydro massage. The hotel staff does quite a good job of keeping the spa and pools in a good condition. The staff is actually another really good thing about the hotel. They are very helpful, and the staff at the restaurant turns dinners into a luxurious experience. The restaurant itself is a good thing too. It is fancy. The food is relatively simple, but quite enjoyable, with Italian vibes. I personally like simple food.
  : My room wasn't great. Honestly, if I knew beforehand, it'd probably be a dealbreaker for me. Someone else said in their review that the rooms are old-fashioned. Not just that, they are also old and worn. My room had a door to adjacent room that was locked, but I could easily hear what my neighbours are talking about as if they were in my coridor. Same with their TV. Sound insulation is bad in general: you hear the street, you hear sounds from other rooms, from above and from below. To reduce the noise level you can close the door between the room and the coridor, but that somehow interferes with AC. They have old-fashioned bet clothing too. Instead of duvet cover you have just another sheet with a bare blanket on top. This is not comfortable. The blanket is not nice to touch and I doubt they laundry it after each guest. I personally found the level of room cleanness below what I'd expect from a five star hotel. Another thing that was bothering me greatly was the lack of tea pot or another source of boiling water. See, I like tea so I pay attention to this detail and in last ten years every hotel I visited had this sorted out in one way or another. Even small 3-star village hotels. This one doesn't have anything like that, instead they serve you lipton yellow label tea for 5 euro in the bar downstairs. If you suddenly want tea after 11 pm when the bar is closed, well, bad luck... Now, if you only care about spa and pools, you should probably ignore what I wrote in this section :)

  : - Private covered parking, porter service. - Thermal pools with different temperatures and relatively good SPA. - Central location to use as base to visit the Venetian province. - Price, although still not great value...
  : - Very old fashioned hotel with old fashioned rules which aren't clearly communicated in the hotel policies on Booking.com; i.e., Need to wear a swimming cap in the pool (men+women) although promotional photos on their website show women without caps, or the compulsory trousers during a heat wave for dinner (we're talking 1x menu with minor variants in combination with a buffet here, nothing fancy besides the waiters). - Beds were rock hard. - We were expecting this from the comments, but the hotel really does need a refresh; lots of AC and stains on the walls in the bedroom, mosaic tiles from the pool coming off in all parts (keep an eye on toddlers), etc. - Breakfast and dinner were OK at best, but definitely subpar for a 5*. Would recommend eating out (highly recommend L'Ombra Che Conta for dinner if eating in Abano, else target the city of Padova).
